For you (YES YOU!!).

The Year 2017 has commenced in the blink of an eye.

I see resolutions, wishes, lists and hopes floating away on social media platforms. As always, I take the time out to read these resolutions and hopes. I smile as the immense sense of whatever-is-left-of-hope in this world, fills me.

Flashes of all the beautiful souls that I encountered in the year 2016, kept appearing before me like mirrors. Some broken. Others fixed and struggling to remain so. Some entirely deprived of hope. Others afraid of the consequences of having hope. Some lost, while others yearning to be found….and the list is as eternal as our lists of resolutions go each year.

Every individual though, has one question in common to ask -“WHY ME?”

Why me – A question most of us ask ourselves. Sometimes, even knocking on the doors of heaven for an answer to this aching question.

We humans were created weak. The sooner we humble ourselves to come to terms with this undying truth, the better. However, the advantage of fragility is in that, any form of strength then displayed, is worthy of glory beyond one’s understanding !!

” You are STRONGER than you seem, BRAVER than you believe & SMARTER than you think.” Yes! YOU truly are.

In being weak and surviving it every moment, you are magnanimously and gloriously becoming the “you” that you only hope you can be.It is all a matter of perpectives.Strike out those endless never-gonna-get-down-to-it resolutions this time around and command yourself to see the positives in everything and everyone that constantly tries to tell you otherwise.

You have come so far and you will get through everything else that is lined up for you this year.

You are not anything less than, and always much.. MUCH more than what you imagine yourself to be.

You will survive everything that is thrown at you and you will walk out of it a winner!

You will.

You can.

And you ARE.

“Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?”

Hold that thought (for eternity) and wish yourself a spectacular new year!!

  1. It’s true that a lot of people ask “why me?” when something bad happens to them, but it’s also important to think that we never ask “why me?” when something good happens to us, so why would we ask it when something bad happens. Everything happens for a reason so never take anything for granted, even if you don’t necessarily like it. Followed! I responded to the same prompt too! Please check my post out and let me know what you think!

    1. Exactly. We never really do ask why me when things are good 🙂 ! Just read your post as well – loved your highlights of 2016. A refreshing read 🙂 Look forward to read more from your end.
P.S I’m unable to like or comment on your blog due to a pop that prevents me from it. Might wanna take a look at that.
